1. Introduction

This policy applies to all Veta services including our mobile application, web platform, and any related features that help you organize photos into meaningful moments, tag emotions and locations, and access your immersive cinematic gallery. When you use Veta, you trust us with your memories, and we design every part of our service to prioritize that trust above all else.

You retain full ownership of all content you upload to Veta. We never claim any intellectual property rights over your photos, tags, or personal story data.

2. Information We Collect

We only collect data that is necessary to provide and improve your Veta experience, and you have full control over what data you share with us:

• Content you provide directly: All photos, videos, moment descriptions, custom emotional tags, location labels, and account information (including email address if you choose to create a cloud-synced account) that you voluntarily upload or add to your Veta archive. If you choose to use Veta in fully offline mode, none of this data ever leaves your device and we do not collect any of it.
• Automatically collected data: If you opt in to cloud sync, we collect basic device information, app usage metrics (such as which features you use most often to improve our service), and crash reports to fix technical issues. We never analyze the content of your photos for these metrics unless you explicitly opt in to content-based feature improvements.
• Optional permission data: If you grant Veta access to your device location, we can auto-tag photos with location data to help you organize moments by place. You can disable this permission at any time in your device settings.

3. How We Use Your Data

We use your data exclusively to provide and improve the Veta service, including:

• Processing your photos to organize them into meaningful moments, generate auto-tags for emotions and locations, and render your immersive cinematic gallery experience. All processing can be done 100% on your local device if you disable cloud sync.
• Syncing your memory archive across all your devices if you opt in to cloud backup.
• Troubleshooting technical issues and improving our tagging and organization algorithms, only if you opt in to share anonymous usage data.
• Sending you critical service updates, security alerts, and account-related communications. We never send unsolicited marketing messages unless you explicitly opt in to receive them.

4. Data Sharing Practices

We will never sell, rent, or license your personal memory content, emotional tags, location data, or any other private information to third parties for advertising or commercial purposes. We only share your data in the very limited circumstances below:

• With service providers that help us operate Veta (such as encrypted cloud storage providers), who are bound by strict confidentiality agreements and may only access your data to perform services on our behalf, and are prohibited from using it for any other purpose.
• When required by applicable legal obligation, we will only disclose data if we are compelled to do so by valid legal process, and we will notify you of any such request where legally permitted.
• If you choose to share specific moments with other people via Veta's sharing features, only the content you explicitly choose to share will be accessible to the recipients you select.

5. Your Rights & Controls

You have full control over your data at all times:

• You can access, edit, or delete any of your photos, moments, tags, or account information at any time directly within the Veta app.
• You can export your entire memory archive in open, non-proprietary formats at any time, with no restrictions.
• You can delete your Veta account permanently at any time, and all of your data will be permanently erased from our servers within 15 days, with no residual backups retained.
• You can adjust your privacy settings, toggle cloud sync on or off, disable location tracking, and opt out of any optional data collection at any time.

6. Data Security

We implement industry-leading security measures to protect your data from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction:

• All data transmitted between your device and our servers is protected with TLS 1.3 encryption.
• All cloud-stored content is encrypted at rest with AES-256 encryption, with unique encryption keys per user account.
• Our engineering team has no default access to your private content. We can only access specific content if you explicitly grant us temporary permission to troubleshoot a technical issue you report.
• We conduct regular security audits and penetration testing to identify and fix vulnerabilities in our service.

7. Children's Privacy

Veta is not intended for use by individuals under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have collected personal information from a child under 13, we will immediately delete that information from our systems.

8. Policy Updates

We may update this privacy policy from time to time to reflect changes to our practices or for operational, legal, or regulatory reasons. We will notify you of any material changes at least 30 days before the changes take effect, via in-app notification or email. Your continued use of Veta after the effective date of the updated policy constitutes your acceptance of the changes. If you do not agree with the updated policy, you may delete your account at any time.
