Veta User Agreement
Effective Date: May 6, 2026
No complicated legal jargon, just a friendly promise between you and the Veta team
Veta is your private visual memory archive: we help you organize life’s photos into meaningful moments, tag emotions and places, and relive your personal stories through a cinematic, immersive gallery experience. This agreement lays out how we work together when you use our app.
1
What This Agreement Covers
This is our shared promise for how you can use Veta, and how we’ll operate as you build your personal memory archive. It applies to all versions of the Veta mobile and desktop app, including all core features: emotion tagging, location mapping, custom moment curation, and cinematic gallery playback.
We intentionally skipped all confusing legal terms - this is just a clear, honest set of guidelines for us both to follow to make your Veta experience as great as possible.
2
Using Veta
âś… No login required: you can access 100% of core Veta features immediately after downloading, with no need to create an account or submit any personal information to us.
You’re welcome to use Veta for all personal purposes: sort your holiday photos, tag moments with how you felt that day, map your travels, create immersive cinematic reels of your favorite memories, and share those exported reels with friends and family as you like.
We ask that you don’t use Veta for commercial bulk processing of photos that don’t belong to you, or use the app to store or share content that violates other people’s privacy or personal rights.
3
Your Memories, Your Full Ownership
You retain 100% full ownership of all photos, tags, custom moments, and gallery edits you create or import into Veta. All photo processing, emotion tagging, and gallery rendering happens locally on your device by default - we never access, upload, store, or share any of your personal content to our servers unless you explicitly choose to use our optional cloud backup feature (a separate service you can opt into at any time).
You are responsible for the content you import into Veta: please only upload photos you have the right to use, and respect the privacy of people who appear in your photos when you share exported content.
4
Feature Guidelines
Our AI-powered emotion and location tagging features are designed as helpers to speed up your organization process. You can edit, remove, or add custom tags at any time - we don’t require you to use the auto-generated suggestions if they don’t match your memory of the moment.
The cinematic immersive gallery feature lets you customize playback speed, background music, and transition effects. Any reels you export from this feature are yours to use however you want, for personal or even small commercial use (like sharing on your personal social media) with no attribution needed to Veta.
We do not claim any rights over the content you create using Veta tools.
5
App Updates & Support
We will roll out regular app updates to add new features, fix bugs, and improve the performance of Veta. You can choose to install these updates or keep using your current version, though we recommend updating to get the best experience.
If you run into issues, have feature requests, or have questions about how Veta works, you can reach our support team anytime at contact@veta.app. We try to respond to all queries within 3 business days.
6
Performance Notes
We work really hard to make Veta run smoothly on all devices, but every phone, laptop, and operating system is different. Occasionally, you may run into small issues like delayed AI tagging, minor playback glitches in the cinematic gallery, or compatibility issues with very old operating system versions.
We prioritize fixing these issues as fast as we can when they are reported, but we can’t guarantee that Veta will work perfectly 100% of the time on every single device ever made. We appreciate your patience as we keep improving the app!
7
Changes to This Agreement
If we ever need to update this agreement, we will post a prominent notification inside the Veta app 15 days before the new agreement goes into effect. We will also note exactly what changes we made so you don’t have to read the whole thing again.
If you keep using Veta after the new agreement goes into effect, that means you’re okay with the changes. If you don’t agree with the changes, you can stop using Veta at any time, no questions asked.
